Mentorship Programme

Our Mentorship Programme provides targeted support to women from minority ethnic backgrounds, who are residing in England and Wales and who have studied, are currently studying, or are working in the legal profession.

Every Mentee Matters
At The BAME Woman in Law, we prioritise quality over quantity. Guided by our 3 C’s framework, our mentors take a personalised and intentional approach, supporting each mentee based on their individual goals and needs. Through professional insight, structured guidance, and meaningful relationships, we aim to deliver a supportive and transformative mentoring experience.

The 3 C’s
  • Creating - Our mentors work with mentees to identify their goals and co-create a structured plan to support their development and progression within the legal profession
  • Confidence - Mentors help build confidence by recognising mentees’ strengths, supporting areas of excellence, and encouraging them to pursue their interests with clarity and self-belief
  • Connecting - Mentors support mentees to expand their professional networks by facilitating connections with legal professionals and institutions, helping to reduce isolation and increase access to opportunities

Programme Structure
The Mentorship Programme runs in two phases each year.
  • Phase 1: February to June
  • Phase 2: August to December
