Mentorship

Our Mentorship Programme offers personalised guidance and support to women from minority ethnic backgrounds living in England and Wales who have studied, are studying, or are working in the legal profession.

Every Mentee Matters
At The BAME Woman in Law, we focus on quality over quantity. Using our 3 C’s framework, our mentors provide tailored support based on each mentee’s goals and needs.

The 3 C’s
  • Creating - Mentors work with mentees to identify their goals and develop a clear plan to support their growth in the legal profession
  • Confidence - Mentors help build confidence by recognising strengths, supporting areas of growth, and encouraging mentees to pursue their goals with clarity and self-belief
  • Connecting - Mentors support mentees in building professional networks by introducing them to legal professionals and organisations, helping to increase access to opportunities

Programme Structure
The Mentorship Programme runs in two phases each year.
  • Phase 1: February to June
  • Phase 2: August to December

Applications for Phase 2 of our 2026 Mentorship Programme will open in June 2026.
