Be Mentored

Our flagship mentorship programme, Be Mentored, offers one-to-one mentorship to women from minority ethnic backgrounds across England and Wales who are studying, have studied, or are working in the legal profession.

Every Mentee Matters
At The BAME Woman in Law, we focus on quality over quantity. Using our Three C's framework, our mentors provide tailored support based on each mentee's individual goals and needs.

The Three C’s
  • Creating - Mentors work with mentees to identify their goals and develop a clear plan to support their growth in the legal profession
  • Confidence - Mentors help build confidence by recognising strengths, supporting areas of growth, and encouraging mentees to pursue their goals with clarity and self-belief
  • Connecting - Mentors support mentees in building professional networks by introducing them to legal professionals and organisations, helping to widen access to opportunities

Programme Structure
Be Mentored runs in two phases each year.
  • Phase 1: February to June
  • Phase 2: August to December

Applications for Phase 2 of Be Mentored 2026 will open in June 2026.
